Harvest in the Zeltinger Sonnenuhr is a test to your fitness

Ripe Grapes in the Sonnenuhr

Botrytis grapes Again from the Sonnenuhr, where I saw very little Botrytis. Schlossberg had more.

Graach seen from the Domprobst

Heat damaged grapes. Even the Domprobst, with its deeper soil, has suffered in some parts from the drought and heat in 2003.

Ürzig and the Würzgarten

Catching the reflected sunlight in the Würzgarten

Erden and the Prälat from the Würzgarten

Old vine Riesling grapes. The loose bunches and small berries on old vines produce tiny yields, but the most aromatic juice. The secret of making great wine.

The flat lands of Erden on the wrong side of the river, gently rising to the south (as seen from the Würzgarten). Nothing good ever comes from there...
