Comment

Liebfraumilch country, mostly. Yet the northern parts at the banks of the Rhein, the "Rheinfront" area around Nierstein (*not* the Gutes Domtal Grosslage) and Nackenheim, are in the same league as the best of the Rheingau, at fairer prices. Some excellent Riesling growers are located here, making this a very exciting source of top class wines. Outside the Rheinfront, the Kellers show what's possible in Rheinhessen, but not many follow their tracks.
